The 90-minute session will examine the commitments needed from the energy sector, innovators, policymakers, and financial institutions to deliver the significant methane emissions reductions required globally by 2030.  

Acknowledging the size of the challenge, and importance of reducing methane emissions, along with the significant progress already made by the gas industry (with examples), panelists will discuss the barriers to greater progress by the industry (policy, finance, access to technology), and ways in which key stakeholders can work together to improve performance.

The panel will also look at ways in which greater collaboration with Global Methane Pledge signatories will foster the development and achievement of robust targets, particularly in countries where capacity to do so does not exist. 

The panel will feature expert perspectives from public and private innovation funders, energy Industry Executives, Policymakers and Clean Energy Innovators.
